Tessa Fisher

Licensed Midwife

Tessa’s journey began with motherhood. Desiring as few interventions as possible, and to birth unmedicated in the intimacy of her own home, she hired an expert in normal. A midwife.

As a result of these experiences, she wanted to be this option for other families; investing in their lives and supporting them in feeling empowered in their decisions for their bodies and their babies. Midwifery is a relationship and a partnership. It is personalized care. Here she is today, having cared for many families, in many walks of life, through each of their individually unique pregnancies and births.

Tessa and her husband Wes have two children, both born at home with midwives. She is a graduate of Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery, licensed through the State of California Medical Board, and certified by the North American Registry of Midwives.

Johnna Kunkle

Registered Nurse & International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Johnna began her nursing career in 1996 in maternal child health. She worked 25 years as a postpartum/newborn nurse in the hospital setting where she helped thousands of new mothers breastfeed their newborns. With a love in her heart for supporting mamas & babies and her desire to start something new, Johnna became board certified as a lactation consultant in 2022 and in the same year, opened her lactation private practice, motherbaby holistic nursing, inc.

Johnna received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from CSULB in 2002. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, she was blessed with two children. Her daughter and son were breastfed and then homeschooled. They are now young adults. When Johnna is not helping mothers with breastfeeding, she might be found taking another class in lactation, holistic nursing or functional medicine. Finding the root cause to promote healing, is something Johnna is passionate about.

In addition to lactation support, Johnna also offers CFT or craniosacral fascial therapy for infants. CFT helps to unwind fascia in the body, which can help a baby breastfeed better.

This beautiful work with women and babies has been one of Johnna’s greatest joys in life! In her time away from work and studying, she enjoys spending time in nature with wildflowers near the ocean.

Naomi Machimura

Integrative Holistic Acupuncturist

With over fifteen years of experience as an acupuncturist, Naomi wants as many people as possible to experience the body-mind connection. She believes the approach of mind-body integration will help clients release physical pain so they can start living life on their own terms.

Naomi’s sessions are characterized by a holistic approach – healing both mentally and physically by looking for the root cause of the pain. By looking deep into the mind of a client she is able to identify certain emotions associated with the pain. Bre Headshot. Image of smiling woman with long brown hair. Born with Angell's Wellness Team - Physical Therapist.

Bre Stuhlmuller

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist

Bre is a California native and grew up in the Bay Area. She worked her way down the coast, first getting her Bachelors in both Psychology and Communication from UC Santa Barbara, and then getting her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. After being introduced to women’s health/pelvic floor PT, she quickly realized how beneficial and necessary this line of work was and decided this was the specialty she wanted to pursue. She is passionate about educating women about their bodies, especially since women are done such a disservice in this area both in the educational and medical systems. After experiencing the journey into motherhood herself (including her own pelvic floor dysfunction), she has a special interest in the pregnancy/postpartum population and believes physical therapy should be the standard of care throughout the peripartum years. Bre ensures her patients understand the purpose behind the therapy they are receiving so they feel empowered to take an active role in their health/healing. Since she is a mama herself, she is very mindful that time is precious/limited and aims to create a plan that her patients can easily integrate into their daily lives. She also takes a holistic approach to treating her patients and often incorporates general wellness practices into her plan of care. Bre loves being a mama and spends the time when she’s not working with her two sweet girls. She enjoys moving her body through strength training and chasing after/going on walks with her girls (exercise looks a little different after becoming a mama!). She also loves traveling and eating delicious food with her husband, and playing with their dog, Mila.
